Maybe one day I'll give Windows 10 another try, but not right now. I too was having the same freezing problem, I purchased Island Paradise expansion pack just 2 weeks ago. You were correct in what I needed to do, but I was too lazy. Bought Sims 4, absolutely hated it and got a refund. When I tried Build Mode in the B game, I was able to come back to Live Mode with no problem. Second, I did a 'Save As' and added a B to the name of the file. I didnt have any trouble coming out of Buy Mode back into Live Mode. Good grief.Д®dit: I am running these expansion packs:Д®dit 2: Thanks for everyone's assistance! In the end I got frustrated and reverted back to Windows 8.1 (which in itself is not a picnic.) Had to re-install nearly everything (not just the games) and re-arrange my computer settings all over again, but my First of all, it seems that its only Build Mode that gets stuck.

I dont think my RAM is the issue though it could be since my laptop is nearly 4 years old. All of my save games constantly freeze no matter the mode. Only 4 packs which are High End Loft, Supernatural, Late Night and Island Paradise. To find a solution' box that immediately closes the game. My Sims 3 game keeps freezing and I barely have any CC. However I upgraded to Windows 10 a few days ago and cannot play more than 20 minutes of gameplay before the game crashes to the desktop with the vague 'Windows is checking Hi there, I've managed to play The Sims 3 on Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1 pretty successfully.
